Automechanika Academy's Automotive Aftermarket Symposium

February 1, 2017
Jeddah Centre for Forums and Events, Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s auto aftermarket trade was valued at nearly US $2.6 billion in 2015, according to the Kingdom’s General Authority for Statistics. Saudi Arabia is the largest auto market for both new and used vehicles and the largest auto parts market in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). It is also the region’s largest importer of automotive products with some of these imports being re-exported within the region. Demand for aftermarket parts for vehicles is expected to grow in Saudi Arabia, reaching an estimated $3.65 billion by 2020.

It is against this dynamic background that we are launching the Automechanika Academy's Automotive Aftermarket Symposium which will be held as a part of Automechanika Jeddah on February 1, 2017.

The Academy is a regular feature of Automechanika in Dubai, and this year with its introduction in Jeddah will be an ideal platform for key industry players and thought leaders to discuss and analyse the spare parts, maintenance and repair market in Saudi Arabia for both commercial and light vehicles.

Some of the key topics to be discussed at the symposium includes:

• Macro-economic outlook and its impact on the Automotive aftermarket sector

• Policy framework, legislation and consumer protection laws

• Optimising distribution strategies and network for spare parts retailers

• Garage standards, vehicle inspection and license to practice

• Customer loyalty and enhancing customer satisfaction … and more
